Preservative Information

Pine may be treated with different preservatives that vary in chemical composition; therefore they should all be handled differently depending on treatment method.

All pine products are cut from plantation grown forests from Australia and New Zealand. Pine has little natural durability compared with traditional native hardwood construction timbers. Therefore pine is treated to extend its service life.
Treated pine is available in different preservatives depending needs and wants of the end uses.
